A Declaration of Running as an Independent
Saturday, March 15th, 2014 @ 10:39PM
In May of 2013 I heard the call of God upon my life to run for the United States Senate. Being a Christian Conservative my natural tendency was to run as a Republican. What has became evident over the course of the past 9 months is the gross corruption that has infiltrated our political system. The GOP has turned and will not stand on godly principles. I hear the voice of Tennesseans as they cry out to “turn the Page on politics” therefore, as an everyday Tennessean I am committed to do just that.
President George Washington warned us in his farewell address that the political parties would be the downfall of our republic. Even at the birth of our nation he was wise enough to see the danger. Progressives have infiltrated the leadership of both the Democrat and Republican parties and are leading our republic headlong towards financial collapse. As an average American, husband, father, and blue collar worker I feel that I am guided by godly principles and values that are necessary in making one well suited for this task. I am the only candidate that enables the voters of Tennessee to retire incumbent Senator Lamar Alexander without having to settle for the “lesser of two evils”.
I ask you, Is Tennessee a right to vote state or are you bound to a failed two party system?
So today in the spirit of our great founders and forefathers I declare independence from the GOP. I ask every Tennessean to rediscover life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, along with me. I also ask you to help me return our nation to its roots of loving our neighbors as ourselves and respecting all people everywhere as we are all the handiwork of our Creator. Vote to send me to Washington D.C. as your next U.S. Senator in the general election on November 4, 2014. Join with me and fellow Americans across this great country to be a part of ending the ruling class in D.C.
